Many of you have known already that a little more than a month ago, we inaugurated a new and updated parish website. This project was started during the last few months of Fr. Pat’s tenure. It’s a wonderful website - very user-friendly and highlights the core and important ministries of our parish. Special thanks to John Meek, a parishioner, who did most of the work to make this new website possible. John has been generously maintaining our website for many years for free.
A week ago, we added a new calendar program in the website. You can now see ALL the current and future events (including mass schedules for Holy Days, weddings, baptisms, funerals, meetings, etc.) that will take place in the parish and school facilities. It’s updated every day. I hope that the various parish organizations will take advantage of this calendar as they plan for their events and meetings. Clicking each event will give you more information like the time, place and the contact person. There are also many great features in the calendar that will allow you to view the schedules according to ministries, sacraments, and other interest groups in the parish.
On a different note, I would like to express my profoundest gratitude to those who came, organized and volunteered for the welcome reception for Fr. Mark and myself last Sunday. Special thanks to Cora Franklin and Michelle Hallett who spearheaded the event. The food was wonderful and, just like in the Gospel last Sunday, everyone had their fill; there were several “baskets” of leftovers that we shared with parishioners after the event. It was a great day getting to know more members of our parish family. Fr. Mark and myself felt truly welcomed. Thanks again. – Fr. Cary
