Parishioners and friends can make one-time or recurring gifts, from any device that connects to the internet, using a current email and checking account/credit card to create your own online donor account. It’s simple and secure!
For 2020, the CARES Act includes several charitable tax provisions to encourage giving.
A new deduction has been created for charitable donors who don't itemize when filing their tax returns. If you don't itemize, but make a gift to charity, you will be allowed to take a special tax deduction, up to $300, to reduce your tax liability.
An increase in the deduction limit, up to 100% of a donor's annual income (previously, the deduction was capped at 60% of annual income), for cash gifts was passed into law.
For 2020, Required Minimum Distributions (RMD's) have been waived. However, if your marginal tax rate is low enough, you may want to take it to lower your taxable RMD's in later years.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
