Passing the faith down to the next generation? We can help!
At St. Cecilia, we acknowledge the challenges parents face today in forming our children and families in faith and discipleship. Let’s work together to help our youth know and love the Lord, and our families grow in faith and community. Through Family Catechesis, we empower and support Parents to be the primary faith educators of their children!

What do I need to know to get started?
This is a Family Catechesis model giving families the opportunity to grow in their faith life together and become an active part of parish life at St. Cecilia Parish.
The program will consist of...
Faith Together: Connect Days, where families learn together in the same gathering with other families and connect with each other and other families
Faith Together: Catechesis Days, where families start and end together but have time for parents to learn topics as adults while children are with catechists.
Faith Together-Community Days, where our morning and afternoon sessions come together to build community and share activities, fellowship, learn about the Liturgical year, do service projects, and build community relationship
Faith Together is a program for St. Cecilia Parish families, with children
in grades K-8
Parent Participation is required. Everyone's family structure is different. We encourage families to participate together, whatever your family structure is. Bring the grandparents and Godparents if you like as well.
Faith Together is a prerequisite to Sacrament preparation. Faith Formation is an ongoing lifelong journey, before and after sacrament preparation.
Faith Together Family Catechesis is the first step to First Communion Preparation for students in 1st grade and older. Families must actively participate in Faith Together catechesis, Mass, and parish life in order to move on to their sacrament preparation.
ALL First Communion students must be enrolled in Faith Together Family Formation
Students in gr 2-8 starting their year of First Communion reception must be enrolled in BOTH Faith Together AND additional First Communion preparation sessions, and actively participate in BOTH as a requirement of preparation completion, as well as actively attend Sunday Mass ( The additional class will be once a month on a Tuesday evening, plus a retreat day, Reconciliation day, and interviews)
Faith Together families will gather TWO Sundays a month, Community gathering events centered around the Liturgical year, plus opportunities for service days and parish events.
Our Faith is centered around the Mass. So, we are offering TWO Sessions on Sunday. This allows you to easily attend Mass before or after class. You may register for the Morning Session 10:15-11:45am or the Afternoon Session 12:45-2:15pm. Both are taught in English ( with translation in Spanish as needed. Parent only session will be offered in Spanish and English. The class time includes time for fellowship with other families.
Most gatherings, families will stay together to learn while we support parents as the teachers of the faith through lessons, small group activities, music, prayer and multiple learning styles. Parents will have an active role in the program. Families will be taught in English, with Spanish translation as needed. ( Adult lessons will be taught with options in English and Spanish)
