Offers prayer support for the intentions of St. Cecilia members requesting our Lord's grace, healing, and help in immediate need situations. If you have a special intention or prayer request, please complete the form below. Your intention will be added to the weekly email shared with the members of our Prayer Chain so that our parish family can lift up your request in prayer. Out of respect for others’ privacy, please only list names and intentions that you have consent to share; you can also keep your intention private by not including names or by simply writing “special intention.”
Prayers of love and compassion are knitted/crocheted into shawls to be 'gifted' to those in need of comfort, whether it is an illness or a stress of life situation. Each member knits/crochets at their own pace throughout the year. All who knit/crochet are welcome!
We meet to bond as a ministry, sharing completed shawls and stories filled with graces. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month, at 10:30am, in the Northeast room of the Parish Center.
Contact Jeannine Hooper or Marilyn Klesh for more information at 503-644-2619 ext 160
Come join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30 in Parish Center - NE conference room.
Contemplative Prayer is the opening of the mind and heart to God beyond thoughts, words, and emotions. In the silence of Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina, we open ourselves to the awareness of God we know by Faith is within us. Centering Prayer is a method designed to facilitate the development of Contemplative Prayer by preparing our facility to receive God’s grace and transformation.
Silence is God’s first language.
